Franck Sonata (2006-2008)

The Inspiration of this series is primarily from the architectural structures of Frank Gehry: Guggenheim  Museum Bilbao, Spain and Tokyo Ito: Relaxation park, Torrevieja, Spain, and music from César Franck’s Sonata. I adopted the structures and reinterpreted in my own way using layered of approach, combined with multiple of gauges of gold, silver, Shakudo wires and sheets.

The fluidity of the ribbon shapes pay homage to the melodic grace of César Franck Sonata. The multiple layered structures and ribbons create a visual symphony like the musical notes in a composition, flowing organically, and capturing the nuanced movements found in nature and music.

This series is an invitation to the individual to be adorned with a wearable narrative of architectural prowess and musical expression.
